I think Halloween is a great holiday. It’s great because everyone can have fun. Small children can dress up as who or what ever they want and get candy for it. Teens and adults can go to fancy dress parties and socialize and have a good time. Halloween is also steeped in symbolism from jack-o-lanterns to the very day itself. Personally I enjoy the latter, knowing the hidden meanings of things we find on All Hallows Eve.
Halloween also affords us the comfort and courage that come from wearing a mask. I’ll admit I feel braver when I wear a mask. Others can’t see and judge the real me, only what they can see. I find it interesting that we become different people when we tell ourselves we are someone else. Masks and costumes are ways for us to hide our weakness and our shortcomings, perhaps that’s why they are so universal and have occurred throughout time.

i think allot of the same things because people always judge you right when they look at you its wrong but no matter what people are still going to do it but on holloween night when you have a mask on they cant see the real you so they don't judge you because they cant see your real face i think that it is a great holiday for little children to go out and have fun and get candy just for dressing up and little children enjoy it very much and yes when you get to old to go tricker treating then you just go to adult party's because you can enjoy things better because you are with people who are just as educated as you are....

I agree with you. i really like Halloween and every year i would go to a halloween party with my friends and family and i would have a great time. we did the mummy rap by using a roll of toilet paper and rap our partners around it was fun, i won of course.

You shouldn't feel like you have to hide behind a mask. I understand that people can be really mean and judgmental, but that's how a lot of them are. I always say that I'd rather be hated for who I am than be loved for someone I'm not. Be proud to be yourself. I know I don't know you.. but I'm sure you're a great person. Let everyone see it! I love Halloween too though. Parties are way fun if they don't get out of control ha ha
