I really liked the comic. I feel really bad for Marji. I think she is a very confussed girl. She was very younge when pollotics and crazy things were being thrown at her. She had to choice but to somewhat conform. I would hate tolive there! No games, parties, skin, fun, anything. I think that the reason why she turned into a drug attich and like changed her look was because she didn’t know what else to do. She was lost and confussed. I really liked reading this comic better than a normal book. I had pictures to refur to and it was a lot easyer to read. I felt like we didn’t have to read as much too. I really hate to read so this made the class a lot better. I thik that to live in a society like that would just completely blow. I would be confussed too because no one is really used to it and no one wants it. They find ways to go against “the man” which I think is so funny! I really liked the comic even though it was very sad and frustrating at times.

Adversity and Challenges
Kesha
I have gone threw quite a few adversities and challenges in my life. It all started when I was born. My mom was 15 and my dad was 17. That was their first problem. Then to top that off they were both drug addicts, alcoholics and porn addicts. They partied every day and night leaving me without a bedroom or any normal air for my little lungs to breath. I would bang on my beaten up room door in my little old, dirty, footy pajama’s crying while on the other side where crazy people having sex in my bed. So I would just lie on the ground and fall asleep. That happened for about 3 years until my dad cheated on my mom and that ended that.
My mom and I went to live with some family while my dad went to “find him self”. He never found himself. He came around about 3 or 4 times a year and sent a card on my birthday. My mom got re-married and I thought life was great. I was 5 years old when they got married and we lived in a little trailer. I was so excited to be in a normal family. His name is Andy and he has a son named Dairien, we all had so much fun together. Then reality kicked in as I push my pillow against my head trying to block out my mom screaming in pleasure and the trailer rocking back and forth. I scream out for someone, anyone to come take me away! My mom runs in naked and just laughs at me, so much for my normal life. The next morning I wake up and tease my brother, he cries and tattles. The next thing I know one of my Barbies are being hit across my head.
I remember this one time when my biological dad came to the trailer and tried beating my step dad because he thought I was being sexually abused. It was horrible seeing my step dad try to beat my dad with a hammer.
My mom is a raging alcoholic and abuses prescription pills. My mom and Andy split up when I was 13 and I had to find a place for us to live or we would be homeless. My mom was at her worse point, I thought, her falling asleep in her food and pretty much being dead. Then she met Tom. He is a horrible person who beats my mom and takes her medicine. That’s saying it lightly, he is evil. She left me on the streets to fin for myself for him. Where was my dad? Where was anyone? Is anyone there? I didn’t think so. I stopped going to school and relied on friends and boys for everything. I got put into foster care and locked up all because of my parents. It sucks how people’s actions affect us sometimes. I live with my aunt and uncle now and going threw though times but we can all make it threw though times! Everyone can make it threw the hard times! Thank you everyone who has helped me be the person I am today, that includes summit!

SUPERPOWERS!
If I could have one superpower I would be invisible. If I was invisible I could like sneak into people’s house that I hate and play tricks on them. I would have to also be able to go through walls because then I could rob banks. Yeah, that would be amazing. I would be rich! I could do whatever I wanted! I could sneak into Disneyland and amusement parks. I also could just like steal clothes, just kidding. Okay maybe it wouldn’t be good for me to be invisible and go through walls because I don’t know how much good would come out of it. I could do well though. If there was anything I could do, something that my powers could help I would. I would also like to fly. If I could have all three wow! That would be my absolute dream! I really want to be a vampire because no they aren’t invisible or walk through walls they can pretty much fly, they super fast and super strong. Also they are gorgeous and so that would be amazing. I wish I could have all the powers I want. The only problem of that is that if I had all I want then others would too and that would not be good because then what is the use of super powers if everyone has them and knows ways around them?

Narrative Rough Draft
As I run back to my room, in disappointment, I jump onto my top bunk and hide under the blankets. I sat there, and sat. I would say about 2 hours or so went by that seemed like eternity! “It’s seven o’clock by now; I am so waking everyone up!” I thought. So I jumped out of my bed all pumped and excited for the morning ahead. I woke up my heavily snoring brother. “IT’S CHRISTMAS!” I yelled. Of coarse that made him excited so we both ran to the other side of our trailer where my mom and step dad lay hibernating. “GET UP, GET UP, GET UP!!!!” jumping on them and screaming we finally got them up. “What time is it now?” They mumbled. “It’s seven, wake up now, can’t you see Christmas is waiting for us?!” They dragged there lazy butts up and we walked a few small steps to the living room.
“Oh, my, gosh, the most presents I have ever seen!” I was sure they were popping out at us! There were presents everywhere, on the couch, on the T.V, on the table, on the floor. Our tree was very small, crooked, trashy, but cute with little lights and a bow on top. It was only about a foot tall, but we had that forever, it was tradition. As me and my brother start opening our presents we try all our clothes, toys, candy out. “This is the best Christmas ever, thank you!” Dairien, my brother, was being silly and trying on my princess shoes and dresses while I played with his play gun. We were there hours just playing and opening presents! We also pigged out on donuts and sugar, that’s just what we do on Christmas.
So by now we were full of candy and playing when all the sudden, “Where’s my dad!?” My mom just sat there for a second in concern. Kind of like she was worried he wasn’t going to come again and my world would be crushed. You would think by now I wouldn’t expect anything from him but for some reason he was my hero. My mom comes to me and says, “He will be here don’t worry baby, soon, just be patient.” I ran outside down my little pull out steps and look down the road. “My dad should be coming anytime.” I thought. Ten minutes went by as I wait, wait, and wait. Oh, my, gosh, I see a white car! It’s him! They speed by, obviously not being him. My little heart staring, waiting, anticipation killing me, so excited to see my daddy not knowing he wasn’t coming anytime soon. About an hour or two passes and my mom comes out to get me. “Kesha it’s time to come in he will come soon but you can’t wait out here it’s to cold; come and play with your new toys.” “Okay mom…sniff, sniff, I’m really sad mom where is he?!” trying to fight the tears she gives me a hug, the smell of alcohol on her breath.
Knock, knock, bangs our medal door. “HE’S HERE, IT’S HIM!!!!!!” I nearly fall on my face trying to get the door. I open the door and there he is, my long hair, tattooed, cigarette smelling daddy with his black leather jacket. “I love you dad, let’s go!” With the blink of an eye we left to his house where I find more presents! As I’m opening presents with my dad’s new girlfriend, with five kids, I see a rectangular box that usually holds clothes. I open it and my prediction being true there were clothes there. To my surprise they happened to be my first pair of bra and panties. I must also add they matched and all my dads girlfriends kids were boys but one. I hide my face of embarrassment. “DAD, UGH, why did you get me these?!” He just laughs. I hurry, hide them and open a new present. It’s a Barbie! Now I have a collection! My dad was always the best at giving me Barbie stuff. He took me home; I hated that part, and drove off concentrating on the new girlfriend. She was the new one to replace me, as usual. I probably saw him a few weeks, maybe months later, doing the same routine, watching, waiting, hoping, innocent.

Narrative Introduction
“Wow!” I wake up in a sudden jolt. “It’s Christmas!” Presents, family, presents… DAD!!! Christmas means I get to see my dad! I jump off my top bunk scattered with blankets, waking everyone else up. “What time is it??” Everyone yells. I look sharply to the clock. “Five o’ clock…” They are going to make me go back to sleep if I tell them five, that can’t happen, no way.

The four pillars
The four pillars are tradition, discipline, honor and excellence. I think tradition means just living in the footsteps of the history of something, something you at a certain time every year or month, etc. do. You’re just doing the same as the years before. Discipline in my mind just knows and showing you can have self-control, self-restraint, order, direction and learning from it and your mistakes. Honor is, I guess, just living with pride and respect for certain people or things. When you honor someone or something you’re glad to represent and know them. Now the last thing is excellence. I really don’t know what that means. Excellent means like very great or like amazing so I assume excellence is the act of being very great or amazing, doing something in excellence or being something excellent. Those are my interpretations of the four pillars.

Death
So there were two quotes. The first one he was saying, pretty much just, death is going to happen so just leave it be. Then the second guy was sadder, he said no matter how great in life you are you’re going to die so it doesn’t matter. So out of the two what one do I think is right? I would have to say that it all just depends on how you look at life and how you view it. I think faith or absents of faith, and what you believe in has a big part in it too. I don’t think the second one is true. I think when you die if you do something that makes you different or just remember able then you will be remembered and that’s important. I’m sure everyone is remembered by someone when they die. I really don’t think we just turn into dirt and there you go. I think something happens but I have NO idea what. That would be amazing to know what happens to us when we die. That’s a whole different conversation though dude.

Is freedom free? Are we free? Okay, so quite often we hear ourselves and others say, “I thought this was a free country!” or just other comments like that and do you really think we’re free? Look back, stand back and look at all we have. You would know we were free if we could just look passed our selfish ways. We are free, free to choose what to wear, free to choose what to think, eat, where to go to school, go to work, live and do what you want with your life. Yes there are things in life that we are not free to do. For example, we can’t steal, kill, endanger, or destroy others property. You know even all of those things you “can” do you just will get in trouble for them. How free would we ultimately be if we got to do everything we wanted? We would be worse off then we are now, believe it or not. So if you look away from the people making $150,000 plus an hour, fancy cars and houses, swimming poles, restaurants, clothes, clean water, expensive jewelry and look at the countries, people, families that have absolutely nothing maybe we wont take our freedom for granted. Learn to appreciate guys because we tend to forget what freedom is.

Last words
At the end of Hamlet he dies and his last sentences are saying he wants to tell the story about everything that happened but he is dying so he can’t. Why would he want to do that? So he wants to tell the story about everything, he wants to share all the experiences and stuff. There were a lot of people that died, and a lot of things that happened. There is a lot to tell. If I was him I would want to explain it too. “The rest is silence.” Ya those were his last words right before he died. What do they mean? I honestly have no idea. My only guess is there is peace when you die? I have no idea, death is quiet? The theme, moral, or meaning of Hamlet, the first thing I think of is revenge. I would say out of the whole play revenge is the number one thing that goes on. Killing for revenge and it’s just crazy. Everyone is dying and killing, revenge didn’t really work out in this did it? Obviously not, but I guess we can learn from that, think before you act.

I think that one message is about revenge. You sometimes hear people talking about the expression “revenge is sweet.” This play explains how it really isn’t that sweet. During the whole play he is seeking revenge and defiantly acts upon it. His father, the king, gets killed and comes to him as a ghost telling him what happened. From then on Hamlet takes it into his own hands to get revenge. So he sets up a play about the king’s death to try and trap the killer and a bunch of other things that are just bazaar. I mean if I was him I would try to get revenge, but he goes all out. By the end all the characters but about 3 are killed. So is revenge that sweet? No.
Another message this play brings is just how much drama life is. I think this is a great play just showing real life. No joke life is filled with drama, trials and tribulations. Life isn’t easy and this play really shows it. They don’t sugar coat it either. It’s pretty intense. I think that is a good thing though because life really isn’t easy and it can be a crazy and confusing thing. We don’t always know what to do, so it just shows life. How life really can be.
The last thing is, I guess, just betrayal, assumptions and judgment. When you have false accusations it can screw up everything. That’s the same with assuming. You know what will happened if you assume? I think you know that expression so I won’t finish it. I really think that all the above are big problems in life though, and Hamlet really shows it, big time. He assumes, and gives bad and good judgment threw out the whole thing, the death of his father, Ophelia, and just a lot of things. He really should have just stepped back and thought of all the results to his actions. I don’t think he ever would have expected what did happen though. Nothing good happens when you kill.

Grieving
I think how long you grieve for someone is up to you. I don’t think it’s healthy to dwell on it though. I think that it is all up to the person but don’t dwell. Death is a very sad but natural thing that we can’t change. So to dwell isn’t healthy, even if it takes awhile to get over. With that parent thing I don’t think its wrong to get re-married, but you should wait a while. I mean no one wants to be alone but you also shouldn’t just jump into the relationship. I would feel HORIBLE if that was ever to happen to me or anyone in that matter but no one should be alone. I think it all depends on situation and person. If your like really old or something probably not going to get re-married but if your young, yeah I’m sure. I think on both the questions it just depends all on the person and however long they think they need to wait.

Uniforms
I am doing an essay on what I think we should do about uniforms. There are a few pros and cons, but I am against them. I will just have to say we should not have them, I’m sure more people are against them more than for, so I will represent.
I would have to start by asking you a question: Do teens like school? I would have to answer by saying, usually not. If you make us wear uniforms we will have people moving schools. Im sure there are people that would hate to have uniforms so much they would slough, stop coming or move schools. Don’t give us more reasons to hate school.
The second thing I’m going to talk about is actually a con: we all look the same and there is no originality. How are we supposed to go to school looking all the same and not be able to express yourself? It shows our personality and you can identify people with what they dress, okay usually. We are in high school we are all about getting to know ourselves, getting ourselves out there, and expression don’t take that away from us.
My last thing is well, some would say, “What if there is a predator, they can disguise themselves and come snatch you.” I would have to say that we really don’t have to worry about that in school. We are teenagers and aren’t just going to go with a random person we don’t know. I can see if we were in grade school or maybe even Jr. High that would make sense, but most of us have learned by now to not go with strangers. That is another reason why we shouldn’t have uniforms in high school at least.
The problem is that not everyone would like the uniform and why would we make us students unhappy? I mean teens have a million reasons to be unhappy right now already. It’s the age I think. Ha-ha! It just makes another reason to hate school, and we don’t want that do we? So my main point is that you have no expression and so I just think you shouldn’t waste your time, no uniforms!

Just some advise..
There are some things I would like to say to the younger girls out there about dating. I would give the advice of: watch out, guys can be very manipulative. You also need to make sure you’re going with your instinct at all times because your gut feeling is probably true. Now matter how hard it is just know your morals, values, limits, and stay true to yourself. Yes I would have to say that is a lot easier said than done, but you will be happier in the long run. Take that from a girl that has been there, and I’m sure a lot of people would have that same advise, just from experience. You will have your heart broken and you will break hearts so remember that also. No worries though because you will get over it and find someone that will treat you right, love you, and be true to you. I’m not saying that will be easy though, it will be a pretty hard road sometimes, but just stick in there. Just stay strong, keep your chin up, and don’t let any boy bring you down. You need to make sure your never alone with another boy because that leads to nothing but trouble. When a boy and a girl are alone together they usually come up with some trouble. Last thing is that you will want to beat up some losers, but that’s normal so just remember you will find someone that treats you right!
