Persepolis

I really liked this book and I am glad we read it. I still don’t like the Understanding Comics book but I a starting to get why we are reading it. I really like the fact that Marjane doesn’t act like she was a perfect angel when she was young. She actually tells us her trials and how she tried to get over them. This is a really good book for us because we can relate to a lot of the things she does.

One thing that I don’t like is that she keeps repeating the same mistakes again and again. She is getting better but she knows what kind of things that hurt her and her family, but she still does them again. Another thing is that it kind of feels like she is seeking attention for the things she does. I know she has been through lots of trials, but it doesn’t help anyone if she sits around and mopes about it.

I would definitely recommend this book to others but they would need to read the whole thing through and not skip chapters. This book would be good for almost anyone to read because most people can relate to the experiences that Marjane has gone through. This is the best graphic novel I have ever read. I usually hate comic books but this is one exception. I really would recommend this book to anyone.
