Books

I love books. Reading is something you can do anytime and anywhere, though I would have to say not in class because I know the teachers don’t appreciate it, trust me on this. There are so many different genres of books out there. I know a lot of people hate reading, but it is one of my favorite things to do. I t is kind of like an escape for me because if I can go to another world, and to a different set of problems, I can kind of forget mine.

Most people get irritated because I read more than I pay attention to what they are talking about. When people ask me what I want to be when I get older, I can’t just say “a reader”, unless I want to be a critic or something. I would like to read all through my young years because I know I am not going to be able to read as much when I am in college, at least not the books I would like to read.

This upcoming week I have a challenge to read only two hours a day, not counting the work for school. It is going to be hard but I think I can do it. It starts today, May 15, and ends next Friday on the 23rd. So far I haven’t read anything. I started an hour and a half ago and I already want to read endlessly. I can tell this is going to be a very challenging week.
