LAKERS
Well my team took on their rival last night, and they won for the second time. They played the Boston Celtics, and they lost the championship game last year to them so it’s pretty heated battle. Well the Lakers are now at a 40-9 record and keeping strong. They play the cavaliers on Sunday and the Jazz on Wednesday. Their only challenge this week will be the Cavaliers. A lot of people think that I like the Lakers because they are a good team but that’s wrong. I have liked them since I was like nine or ten. They weren’t that good back then but I stuck with them and now they are.
Same with the Chargers they still suck but they are getting better. So I believe that the Lakers will finish with a outstanding record and go into the championship game with the Celtics again but win.

Today I’m going to talk to you about music in class. Music can be a huge distraction in class and throw kids off track in a hurry. Also allowing music in class could lead to more thefts of I-pods and stuff like that. Despite these points there are more positive reasons for the subject. Let me explain. Music is Relaxing, can help students concentrate, and allow most kids to stay on task instead of talking.

So my first positive reason for allowing music in class is relaxation. N55ow I know sometimes students shouldn’t be relaxing they should be working right? Well during tough assignments like essays perhaps you need to relax to come up with ideas. Kids would be more likely to listen to their teacher and work if they were doing more of what they wanted to do. There for kids would be a lot nicer in class.

My second point is concentration. Concentration is a big deal in high school you have to be on top of your game in class to get your assignments done. Sometimes it’s hard to think of ways to finish your assignments on time or with individuality right? Well music solves everything I believe just sit back and put in some headphones and start brainstorming up thing so that you can finish your assignments on time.

My next very valid point is staying on task. This is something that every student struggles with in high school making friends, getting girls, and planning weekends. Well guess what if the teacher says pull out your I-pods and listen to your music. Kids are going to be happy and then they are going to stick in their ear phones and pay attention to their work and not other people. I mean of course there will always be side conversations but that’s people not just high school students.
So those are my reasons for having music in class there are strong points to both sides so you have to figure out witch is stronger. I think that music is a very influential thing and has to be used properly specially in school. I hope I interested you enough to get this far anyways thank you.

Programs

Well programs can defiantly be hard. They are usually unfair for sure. Although they are actually fairly helpful to a lot of kids if they let them in to help their problems then these programs can be really effective and they can help kids to get out of the system. The kids just need to accept this and let there therapy actually work on them. I used to not let the program actually help me I used to just paint a picture for my therapist every single session just say yea I am doing fine I’m not having any problems with anything.

Well it worked I got out but guess what I didn’t really change. Three months later I was back in the program. This time I decided that I’m done with getting into trouble. So this time I talk to my therapist and it really does help me get through this. Instead this time I’m going to stay out of trouble for sure.

Graduation

Well I think graduation is a very important step into adult life, and I think if you miss it you could be very regretful. When I was in ninth grade I ditched pretty much the whole year and failed all of my classes and kept doing that until about half way through my sophomore year. Then I got locked up in Genesis. They helped me kind of catch up on credits. Then I came to summit really I still didn’t think I was going to graduate but now I am going to graduate a couple of months early.

I think that all parents should really push there children to graduate because if you think about it you really do need to graduate to earn a decent life. Well not even that but if they ever want to excel in life. I think parents should be very strict with school. I really wish my parents would have been.

How much education do you think someone needs?
I don’t think we need all of the education that we have to get here in school. I know plenty of people that don’t even have a G.E.D and are doing great. My general manager at McDonald’s is managing two stores and yea I’m sure no one wants to be managing a McDonald’s but you know what with work he’s going to be corporate soon and he’s 20 years old and has no G.E.D or anything.
What I think is really important is street smarts. That way you learn first hand how to budget money and still have something to eat the next day. My parents went through this with my sister and me. Some days my mom and dad didn’t even eat just so we could eat that day. Then we moved and my parents started to make more money but the thing is that they knew how to budget it. They didn’t just blow it.

What is a good leader?


A good leader is somebody that just naturally knows what to do in all of the situations that other people don’t know what to do. When they do something that has to do with the whole group they make a decision that will help the whole group not just themselves. I think that my dad is a big leader because he runs a company so he kind of has to take control. He works with his friends but even if they mess up he has to be hard on them because he has to lead the company in a good direction. He takes care of the whole place by himself because his secretary cant do it and nobody else knows what needs to be done so he has to take care of the place.

Cloning

Is cloning bad or good?

I don’t think that cloning is bad but I think its stupid because if we start cloning everybody or even peoples body parts like livers and we start to cure every single persons sickness then I can almost guarantee that this world will be so over populated and there will b e so many more homeless people in this world and if we did discover it would not give people equal rights to get this kind of treatment because it will be too expensive. Also God made us one of a kind and I think that that’s how it should be. If you think its right because God gave us the ability to do it your wrong because God also gave us the ability to make our own choices so well see what happens.

Drug Problems

Are kids drug problems the parents fault?

I think that on some cases it is the parents fault, but inevitably it is the kids fault because he has a choice to do what he or she wants. If the parents have been heavy drug addicts the kids whole life. Then I can see why the kid gets into drugs, but if their parents actually had a problem and needed to take prescription drugs then that’s not their fault. A kid that is thirteen is plenty old enough to know right from wrong and good from bad so its his fault.

Also know I don’t think that the schools can eliminate the drug problem that they have. I think that no matter what they do that the kids are going to get high and sell drugs you cant possibly make everyone stop its impossible but its also not the schools fault they can do what they want but kids will be kids that get high all the time.

Goals

Goals are important to set they help you to overcome things or just make it easier to know what you want and were you want to get. You set goals by taking a step back and taking a look at what you really want to do and what you need to do it. It’s probably easier to write this stuff down while your thinking about it. Now if it’s a long term goal your probably going to want to have more steps towards reaching your goal.

I think that a good goal is something that is truly going to help you in the long run by making you a healthy and better person. You will know that you have met your goal when you get there because if you are truly trying to complete your goal you will be keeping track of it. When people tell me that need to do what I need to do to get out I kind of get irritated I know that they are trying to help me out but really its not as easy as it seems to just do everything I need to there are a bunch of stuff that goes on that prevents me from doing that but you know what all a person can do is try and I think that people on the other side of the fence looking at us needs to understand this and maybe try to see what else is happing around us that maybe caused us to mess up or whatever.

I think that Nick has shown a lot of those signs of abuse he has forced Cat to stop hanging out with her best friend Elsa and that is a big form of isolation he just want her for himself he gets too jealous.

He seems to blame his parents about a lot of this stuff mostly his dad for being an angry person and hitting him I can see why he hit Caitlin because he is so used to getting hit that he thinks that it is the way that its supposed to be he really doesn’t know any other way so therefore you cant completely expect him to know that its completely wrong. I think that the chart is right about the abuse and I really think that girls need to realize what’s going on when this stuff is happing to them so they can get away from it or try to help the person that she is with.
