Music Is My Life
I think that we choose to listen to sad music because it seems to relate to whatever we’re going through at the moment. The song that you listen to makes you think about what they were going through when they wrote it. Well, if you actually listen to the lyrics. Personally, when I’m sad I try to find a lot of upbeat like techno music, or songs I know will lift my spirits. However, the stations I always seem to turn it to with the pop/alternative music I really like are all depressing songs. The artist talks about how someone either broke their heart, cheated on them, or died. Unless you luckily run into a song like “Peaches!” The one that goes, “Millions of peaches, peaches for me! Millions of peaches, peaches for free.”
I love happy music, so I try my hardest to search for it and avoid all the rest. Do you listen to the lyrics of a song? Or do you just listen to the beat? Lyrics are something that means a lot to me. Every song I hear, it’s the lyrics before the beat that I listen to; my mood is influenced by the words they say. When I’m sad, I will write poems and songs. It’s a really easy way with out even talking to someone to get out all that you’re feeling.

thats a good way to look at music and the lyrics.. people usually listen to the beat of the song before they listen to the actual words and what the person wrote and not just the beat. you did a good job with this.

There are a lot of people who are affected by music every day. A lot of people just listen to a happy beat and wonder why they are angry, depressed, etc. The reason is people are affected by the lyrics also.
It's good that you listen to lyrics a lot because of this. Just make sure that the lyrics are good up-bringing ones.

I think lyrics are important to a song, I know I listen to them. Some artist are good enough to have the music compliment the lyrics. I have found that writing is a good way to express emotions.

i liked this post... it means a lot to somebody if you can get their message in a song or whatever they're writing. i enjoy the beat if i can understand the words (if that makes any sense). i think you did a good job keep it up.
