I have had some experience with Shakespeare before from my previous English classes, so I know some about the playwright. First, I know that he lived in Stratford-upon-Avon, England in the late 1500’s. I remember that his father was a glover and then an alderman for his village. I recall that there are no portraits of him made during his life, and that his plays weren’t collected until several years after his death in 1616.
My past experiences with Shakespeare’s works include watching the 1960’s movie version of “Romeo and Juliet” while reading bits of the play and acting out the occasional scene. In that English class I also read and translated some of his sonnets into contemporary English. In tenth grade I read and acted out “Macbeth” along with studying Elizabethan England and the life of William Shakespeare.
I think that his plays are a bit weird and somewhat interesting. I don’t like his plays because there are works that I don’t understand and the sentence structure is foreign to what I now.

I love shakespeare because his words are powerful and sometimes misunderstood! Like romeo and juliet is a romantic love story which sadly ends in tragedie. But still the effect that both lovers had on eachother was so gosh dang powerful. Its amazing how someone would leave their lives all because they cant be with someone. Its pretty mindblowing if you think about it too much! I love it though! But i respectfully understand your Blog!
