I believe that the dominant theme of Hamlet is tragedy. Every action in the play leads to some ones death. Around every corner drama awaits. People betraying one another or even hiding the truth from the world. For example, Hamlets uncle kept to himself that he had murdered the king. Hamlet and a couple others didn’t speak of the ghost to anybody.
I believe the moral of the play is revenge isn’t the answer. Hamlet was told to seek revenge upon his uncle for the murder of his father, but in the end Hamlet dies as well as his uncle. Personally I believe judgment and consequence should be left up to God. The ghost was the one who told Hamlet to seek revenge. I believe that was not right.
The message I got from Hamlet was when you seek revenge upon someone watch out for your likely to have revenge sought upon yourself. For example, Hamlet killed Polonius who he mistook for his uncle. Then lead to Laertes, the son of Polonius wanting to seek revenge upon him for killing his father.

I agree with you about when you seek revenge on someone it often comes back on you. I think people just go with what they have and play the cards they have been dealt.
