Last words

At the end of Hamlet he dies and his last sentences are saying he wants to tell the story about everything that happened but he is dying so he can’t. Why would he want to do that? So he wants to tell the story about everything, he wants to share all the experiences and stuff. There were a lot of people that died, and a lot of things that happened. There is a lot to tell. If I was him I would want to explain it too. “The rest is silence.” Ya those were his last words right before he died. What do they mean? I honestly have no idea. My only guess is there is peace when you die? I have no idea, death is quiet? The theme, moral, or meaning of Hamlet, the first thing I think of is revenge. I would say out of the whole play revenge is the number one thing that goes on. Killing for revenge and it’s just crazy. Everyone is dying and killing, revenge didn’t really work out in this did it? Obviously not, but I guess we can learn from that, think before you act.

I think Shakespeare had Hamlet review at the end to make a point. He wanted the purpose of the play to be exposed so he had Hamlet talk about it. For a tradgety it did have a good ending.

I would agree with you because revenge seems to be the main theme of the play. Kesha your a good writer keep on writing ok. This play was a little interesting. Revenge is never a good thing i hope everyone learns that someday or another.

Revenge doesn't just kill they person, but those around him, and those around you.
"The rest is silence". Could it mean that nobody can talk when they're dead? The story can't go on after they die?
People learn from it so much more than just in this era of time.

I think you understand it better than you think. That's what Matt always tells me. It's one of those quotes that seem to have various meanings, and I think you did a great job of guessing one of them.
