Bodies in the sand,
Conquerors from a foreign land,
Who bring their god
To replace our own

We decipher their language
At the end of a sword.
To them we succumb,
Slaving to the beat of a newer drum.

We bow to them, but
They bow to us.
To some extent, they
Need our trust.

But I am content
To sit back and watch.
All we are is another notch.

I’m only defiant with knees bent.

Wow. I look at my blogs comments and you are like the only one that has ever commented on my blog and I
don't think I have ever commented on your blogs. Thank you for that and that was an amazing poem by the way (if it is a poem since you always seem to know more than me)
