Love

Love is a flame that speaks to us,
Shows us instead of tells us.
We keep it in our hearts,
Especially at hard times.
Love can be sour but can also be sweet.
It can be tame and gentle
Or it can hit us like a cinder block.
Amazing and wonderful,
Yet excruciatingly painful.
Love is a flame that speaks to us
And it’s calling your name.

Hair

As one hair jumps this way
The other crawls the opposite.
They make it look so easy
The way they move like that,
Sometimes I just can’t help it
I have to grab a hat.
They want t o split apart
So much that I can’t stop them,
They push and pull and twist afar
Some say my hair is a gem
But don’t they know anything at all?

Your poem "Hair" was meaningful and fun at the same time. However "Love" I think was powerful. Keep writing verse.
